FablesAn Aesop's Fable

A Tortoise coveted to change its place of living arrangement, so he requested that an Eagle convey him to his new home, promising her a rich prize for her inconvenience. The Eagle concurred and grabbing the Tortoise by the shell with her claws took off overhead. On their way they met a Crow, who said to the Eagle: "Tortoise is great eating." "The shell is too hard," said the Eagle in answer. "The stones will soon break the shell," was the Crow's answer; and the Eagle, taking the insight, let fall the Tortoise on a sharp shake, and the two feathered creatures made a healthy feast of the Tortoise.
